Cao Jiachang was born in December 1965 in Hubei Province, China. He studied the Arabic language in Damascus University, Syria after he studied in University of International Business and Economics in Beijing.
From 1991 to 2017, Mr. Cao had been working in the Department of Asian and African Affairs of Ministry of Commerce as the deputy director, director and vice director general. During the time he worked for the Ministry of Commerce, Mr. Cao was dispatched to the Economic and Commercial Counselor’s Office of the Chinese Embassy in Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Egypt as Third Secretary, Commercial Consul and Commercial Counselor.
In 2017, Mr. Cao was elected as the chairman of China Chamber of Commerce of Import and Export of Textile and Apparel.
