Textile Revolution: Look for Innovation Designed to Minimise Eco-Impact

Paul Cowell has been working in the textile industry for 27 years.
In the early days of his career, he worked for ICI and BASF in pure molecular research, looking for new colors and new molecules, later working in technical support teams to service textile mills in Europe and more recently Asia.
During his time with DyStar (2001-2010), Paul Cowell worked in a new business segment developing new colour communication tools and processes to help the textile supply chain reduce costs and time whilst still maintaining quality and brand integrity. In 2010, he joined Bluconnection, a new start-up company that manufactures pre-reduced indigo solution and brrought new innovations to the denim industry.
In 2013, he joined Archroma (at the time Clariant) being responsible for apparel and interior marketing in Asia, and he was appointed in his current role as Head of Global Brand Marketing, Textile Specialties Business, in August 2015.
His role includes supporting international brands to provide innovative and sustainable concepts to add value and minimize ecological impact. He is also responsible for the award-winning cloud based ONE WAY mill optimisation tool by Archroma.
