Autumn Winter 17/18 – RHYTHM OF LIFE
This session reviews both slow burning and fast paced trends and how these lifestyle influences impact the coming seasons ranges in apparel, accessories, interiors and homewares.
SCOUT was founded in 1999 by renowned UK fashion and design guru, Tony Bannister. SCOUT began as a boutique consultancy that specialized in advising major fashion retailers during product development and re-branding exercises. Engineered by a 20+ year career which saw him work as a Designer, Design + Product Manager and Creative Director for leading brands and retailers in Australia + UK, word about SCOUT traveled swiftly. It quickly established a name for itself as a leader in the field of trend forecasting.
In 2003, Tony and SCOUT shifted another gear by branching out and developing a dynamic new arm of the business: a Colour and Trend forecasting service – the first of its kind in Australia. Today, SCOUT is a thriving, cutting-edge trend agency that works both online and through publications across 7 key forecasting areas: Lifestyle, homewares, Interiors & products, Fashion, Retail, Colour, Merchandising, Accessories, and Consumer Trends and is represented across Europe, UK, USA, Japan, South Korea, China, USA and Canada, South Africa.
Thanks to a non-stop stream of intelligence via a network of international SCOUTS, the company reports on emerging trends as they are happening around the world, producing a unique range of innovative reports. In 2012 SCOUT set up its UK operation to further establish its business in Europe + now consults with retailers and brands one-on-one in the UK and Scandinavia. Skilled in translating the ‘Science of Style’, Tony gives seasonal keynote speeches across Europe on SCOUT’s trend research and works closely with many top designers.
